A 19 year old man was arrested after leading New York State troopers on a chase in Nassau County. The officers attempted to pull the criminal defendant over for speeding but when approaching the vehicle the culprit fled. The Nassau County criminal defendant was eventually caught after hitting a curb and disabling his car; he had two 16 year old passengers with him. He is facing charges of fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child in the Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead. A 24 year old Nassau County man involved in a drug deal that went bad was acquitted of murder. The criminal defendant and an accomplice went to the victim’s house to buy drugs but ended up robbing him and fatally shooting him. Both Nassau County criminal defendants were charged with murder at the time. The 24 year old suspect was acquitted of the murder charge but was convicted of robbery in the Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead and faces 5 to 25 years in prison. An 18 year old Nassau County woman was charged with manslaughter and driving while intoxicated after crashing her vehicle into a building and killing her passenger. According to the Nassau County Police, the driver lost control of her vehicle, crashed into a parked car and then a building; the accident resulted in the death of a 26 year old woman.
